Cindy's and Priscilla's 21st Birthday Dinz

16th September 2014, Tuesday

Dinner at Hai Di Lao @ 313

It was my first time there and honestly, the experience was fantastic (like 10 out of 10). Full marks. Best service in Singapore and the food was good.

When we first sat down, the waiter was super enthusiastic and nice. If you are served by Bing Cong, then lucky you. The whole night we kept teasing him, you should actually see his face. HAHA. For every 2 tables, a waiter was allocated/designated? Talk about service.. 我的天!

So Pris having been there before, took over the menu and started ordering on the IPad.

In the meantime, Danielle and I were enjoying our hot towels. Yes hot towels like on SQ. Shiok or what.

OMG did you know they actually provide zip lock bags for your phones?! Yes. For those of you who can't put down your phone for one second and you're afraid that your precious iPhone may have hot soup splattered all over, check this out:

No kiddz. It still works perfectly fine.

Danielle Wong Pei Shi and I goofing around, like we ALWAYS do. I miss this girl many many, she made my poly life so much more bearable <3

Birthday girl no 1. Priscilla Tan Rui Sin. That IJ girl who said hi to me 4 years ago during my first day in poly. My very first friend, and friends for life <3

Birthday girl no 2. (affectionately known as) Cindy Chong Ping Pong. That not so quiet girl if you know her. We've drifted apart quite a bit from time to time but I'm glad that 4 years later, we're still celebrating birthdays together <3

They are not twins (if only, how cool would that be manszxc) but both their birthdays fall on 17th September. We did dinner the night before because Pris was flying off to hongkong with her boyfriend on the actual day. They should be enjoying dimsum while I'm blogging now. HAHA

This is Bing Cong serving us hot towels but it's blur 'cause I took this photo when my phone was in the zip lock bag.

We were so troublesome. 'I want parsley and spring onion.' 'I don't want parsley.' 'I don't want spring onion.' 'I everything also don't want.' But he was so patient with us. Best service remember? We actually recommended him to his boss before we left. He like happy only 'Eh thanks uh thanks' HAHA Y SO CUTE OMG.

We had their signature Chicken soup (which was sooo good we stole a few sips before it started to boil LOL) and Seafood soup. The broth is the same white soup but there's really a difference!

While waiting for Elizabeth to come.. but first, let us take pictures. Lol

We made Dandan wear the apron cause she clumsy clumsy plus she was wearing a white dress underneath. HAHAHA SO CUTE LA THIS GIRL. Sorry blur photo cause the zip lock bag really..

Oh oh! Did you also know they provide rubberband for girls?!?! I felt damn suaku but talk about service! Impressive max uh? For hygiene purposes the rubberbands are all new and one time usage only.

Following pictures were snapshots from a video:

Bing Cong serving us our dinz. OMG DID YOU KNOW HE WILL PEEL OUR PRAWNS FOR US IF WE ORDERED PRAWNS?!

When Dandan's bowl was served first.

See all so happy! Where's mine?

O.O DAMN GOOD

SHIOK

Happygirl93

Her face when I asked her to say bye at the end of the video. HAHAHA This girl omg last warning :)

Our Food Came *breathes heavily*
Before dinz the girls kept saying, 'They said this was good, that was good.' Then I asked, 'Who is the 'They'?' HAHA OKAY BUT NOW LET ME BE YOUR 'THEY'. MEAT IZ GOOOOOD.

Just the 4 of us first <3

Finally, full attendance <3 Elizabeth made it for dinz dinz.

Standing up seemed better so bimbos being bimbos, one more shot thanks. Hahaha

We ordered noodles and their noodles are handmade with the chef performing in front of your table! WTF, HAHA. The following are snapshots from the video KungFu Noodles in making:

This part was damn funny. The chef flung the KungFu Noodle to Dandan's direction and you see how she tried to siam the noodle. HAHAHA JOKE

Mummy lizzy, kept scooping the ingredients for us <3

Service with a smile :)

Oh although this was topping up our water, he did it every 15 mins. It's the same for our soup. The service I really.. *two thumbs up*

When I asked everybody to wave bye bye on the video :)

After Dinner

Before dinz I went to Chocolate Origin to grab their birthday cake. Seriously the service.. I cannot rave about it anymore than I am already raving.
They put it with the fruit platter and note the watermelon carving plus heart-shaped watermelon cut outs. Okay la a bit orbit-ohpiang but can feelszxc their sincerity not?
Ps: the table beside us and the table beside beside us were all celebrating their birthdays too. So 3 tables in a row, 3 birthday songs.
WUUUT.

Lub lub lub lub lub <3

TADAH! May all your wishes come true girls <3
Finally, 21 and legal.
The cake was not too bad. It felt like fondue cause chocolate and watermelon was just nomz nomz nomz.
We gave a slice to Bing Cong too, he looked so happy. Hehe

Their birthday cards and cake from the 3 of us. Dandan, Liz and I shared out the bill. It was their birthday dinz, so it's our treat. It is generally more expensive than your usual steamboat but both Dandan and I felt that it was really worth it!

GUESS WHAT? ON OUR WAY OUT, WE SAW THIS:

FREE MANICURE AT THE WAITING RECEPTION. WHAT THE FUCK.. SERVICE IS THE BEST OKAY? BEST. CANNOT FIGHT. Free manicure while waiting??? There's a play area for children and free refreshments at the waiting area too. Just wtf wtf wtf.

My Favourite Part

With love, sarah f.y.
