My 21st Birthday Surprise Party On A Yacht

So apparently I'm the only person who didn't know about the yacht party but I guess that's the whole point of the surprise right? Hahaha.

The Surprise Starts @ YK's Void Deck

I was super cooperative when YK told me he was going to blindfold me and bring me somewhere.

It's not my first time being blindfolded. I've attended camps that had night activities which required the blindfolded to follow the leader's voice. But it wasn't as scary as THIS. Even though it was during broad day light and I got to hold onto YK tightly, but because my annoying boyfriend was super impatient, it was freaking scary please! Hahaha that idiot really never 'give chance one' I swear. He didn't even tell me that there were steps in front! Ohmygod.

Transporting Me To The Venue

I was told that we were boarding a cab. Yeah right. HAHAHAHA. A cab? My ass. The moment I boarded the 'cab' right, I was like.. confirm plus chop hundred percent is my Uncle's 小红. Why? One, I was made to sit in front. I mean, I never sit in front when on a cab. Two, I've driven that car so many times! I recognised the smell, the sound of the indicator, the size (convertibles only have 2 doors so the seat must be pushed in front before YK could board), and of course the seating arrangement (when I slowly felt for the door knob.. ah hah Mini Cooper!)

It was so funny and nerve wrecking because I didn't know who was in the car with us! I kept chanting out my thoughts (excitement, fear etc), cracked stupid jokes (hoping to hear someone's laughter so I could guess who else was there right), and I kept grabbing YK's hand for my dear life.

I sort of knew it was my Uncle driving so that makes three of us. Who's the fourth? I suspected was my mother but it turned out it was Ashley. LOLOLOL. I only found that out like halfway through the drive cause I couldn't take the silence anymore. I decided to talk to Uncle ray directly and since I've already exposed them, they let me take off my blindfold for 5 seconds to adjust. Yay!

And I was like what the.. what were we doing outside my Uncle's house?! They then blindfolded me again and the conversation was just bloody epic. Uncle Ray: 'The journey has just started.' Me: 'Huh, omg haha what! So where are we going??' I swear it was the longest ride of my life. After 10 years, 20 turnings, 30 traffic lights, 40 tunnels later (I'm just kidding), Uncle Ray said 'Finally'. So he switched off the engine and I took off my seatbelt. I must have looked damn stupid because like some 5 seconds later he started the engine again and continued driving.

I just got pranked. WTF HAHAHA. Me: 'Omg who planned this, why are you driving and isn't today my 9th anniversary with YK?' Uncle Ray: 'Maybe I'm just a chauffeur, maybe we're not part of the plans?' Me: 'OMG SO CONFUSING.' And my boyfriend was just laughing away. K can.

The Surprise

Eventually we reached, I alighted and the three of them had to lead me to where the surprise party was held. It was such a long walk! I heard a lot of Caucasians and I figured we were somewhere near the waters. Before I knew it, my boyfriend pulled off my blindfold without a warning! I was fucking blinded lol. I couldn't see a thing because the sun was glaring after perpetual darkness. I heard a lot of people shouting 'Happy Birthday Sarah' though. Too bad there wasn't a crying scene from me. (I couldn't see anything, how to cry you tell me. YK's fault.) Wasted. Hahaha but yes, I was super touched when I regained my vision.

I was super excited when I saw my mother! I bet she thinks I'm damn silly because the night before I told her I think YK is surprising me with something. It turns out that she was the mastermind! Hahaha. If only you could see her cheeky face - smiling super proudly with the word 'success' literally plastered on her face). My eyes slowly registered the presence of my uncle's family and as I looked around (soaking up and enjoying the view of yachts that I missed out during the blinded walk) I saw the One Degree Fifteen Country Club.

That was when I knew my dream has come true. I wanted a yacht party and I got one. I'm a lucky girl, I truly am. It all seemed far too surreal. Even until today, I still cannot fully explain how happy I am with all my birthday celebrations, parties and presents etc. <3

Thank you Mummy and Uncle Ray for months of planning and stressing over this because schedule was really tight. I had another birthday party at Naumi Liora just a few days beforehand and we were running errands from all over the place. Thank you thank you thank you both for all your efforts. I really cannot imagine how much the both of you have spent on me just on my big 21st.  OHMYGOD RIGHT. I heard after everything, my mother has spent about $5k++. Thank you mummy, thank you. <3

Setting Off Sentosa Cove, Heading To Lazarus Island

I boarded The Clipper, said all my hellos and thank yous, together with hugs and all. Then I was told to tour around the yacht (there was a reason behind that and I found out soon after). It was sooo pretty, both the exterior and interior..

There's a seating area in the shower and floor tiles are of quality wood. So so lovely but I hastily took this photo so yeah..

Guess who I saw? *BOOM* My bestfriend, Jocelyn Chua! :) I don't have a picture cause I was too bloody shocked, HAHA. Apparently she was the surprise my mummy was talking about. My mummy asked me to tour the rooms because she was hiding behind the doors! Thank you for helping out with balloons, cake and decorations. Thank you dear.

Thank god I've got the rest though. It's okay uh, photos might be gone but the good memories are all in my head. :)

So, everybody sat on the deck as we sailed back to Sentosa Cove. The wind, the day out, all the fun we had.. I wish I could keep and bottle that moment in a jar.

One just for Callie since her face was blocked. Apparently now the girls love Jocelyn so much, they don't need me anymore. :(

See the clouds behind YK? The timing is perfect to be on our way home. 5 hours of fun was just nice and everybody was so tired already.

I enjoyed the walk back. I got to see the beauty of the surroundings that I missed out on while being blindfolded.
