My Thankful 100th Post

Wow. Time really flies uh?

I started blogging this year on 2nd January, 2014 and now I'm into my 100th post. Amaaazing.

I didn't know I've got that much shit to blog about. Hahaha. But what blows my mind is that people are actually reading about my life, Sarah's life.

Well, I've got no advertorials, no sponsored posts whatsoever hence it's literally about what I've done, where I've been and mainly about me voicing (typing) out my random thoughts.

And you guys read them.

Thank you.

I went through all my previous 99 posts and there's this sentence on repetition: I never intended to be famous, and I never want to be. (Or somewhere along that line HAHA)
But I meant it and I still do mean it.

I'll like to take this time to answer a few questions that are frequently asked:

1." Is Faith your real middle name?"

No. Fortunately or unfortunately it isn't. But soon it'll be, cause I'm thinking of legalising it. It's almost legit already anyways. WTF LOL. People don't go: 'You know Sarah? Yah that Sarah Yong.' They go: 'Eh how you know that Sarah Faith Yong uh?'

Right not, right not?! Because that's exactly how my friends found out I'm their mutual friend. True story.

It started from a random conversation with my girlfriends - Lady Vamps (a clique of 4 during my secondary school days cause our laughters combined can bring the school down. HAHA SEERAIOUSLEE K)

But yeah, we came up with our middle names cause we thought it was coolzxcs like that. But apparently not really uh. You may know some of them namely: Adelind Naomi/Celeste (she couldn't make up her mind) Teng, Jasmine Hannah Tay, Jocelyn Gwen Chua and yours truly.

2. "Why did you start blogging in the first place?"

My problem la you where not happy? OHMYGOD I'M JUST KIDDINGZ HEHE.

This isn't my first blog, it's my third.

The first one was during secondary school days with that tagboard thingy whereby those 吃饱没事做 anonymous haters would spam like cray cray. Or your friends with blogs too will all tag and link. ANYBODY ELSE REMEMBERS THE LEGENDARY TAGBOARD?
Ps: I honestly believe haters are formed due to jealousy. If they aren't exactly that interested in your life - why are they using a moment of their life that they can't get back, on yours?

The second one was during poly days and I'm too ashamed of bringing this up. Let's just say, Sarah hasn't grown up then uh. *Locked up and throws key away*

Which brings me to my point of why I started a third blog:
As I was saying, I started blogging during this year. 2014 is the year which I turn 21 legally and hence I want to be taken seriously. Okay maybe not that seriously but I know what I type should carry a responsibility of an adult, and I think I've been doing a pretty decent job so far. Throws back to an old post whereby I've been told that I'm a role model so yeah I guess that's a good cross reference.

Sweet 16, glamorous 18 have all gone and if you think about it, legally 21 is literally For The Rest Of Your Breathing Life.

10, 20, or even 30 years down the road, I get to show my kids what their mumsie went through and all. So they don't have to be afraid cause they are not alone. Somethings never change even as generations passes. Also, I think it's pretty cool to see pictures of their mumsie at her prime. Heh heh.

Most importantly; when I look back at the end of the day, I want to hold my heart and know that I've led a fun yet fulfilling life.

I don't wanna have what if(s) and die an unhappy old but hot lady. HAHAHA.

3. "Why do you swear so blatantly?"

I'm a girl, so? I feel comfortable around people who swear. People who aren't afraid to speak their minds. People who don't sugar coat things. People who are as real as how loud my 'fuck you' can be. Release your inhibitions.

I'm so over that stage in life where someone swears and you go 'Orh hor, you swear.. I go tell my mummy.' YEAH GROW UP. My mumsie knows I swear anyways. She let it slide sometimes but I know that she knows that I know that she knows that other times it can't be helped. HAHA.

I mean if you've never swore, maybe it's good for you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a must to swear. I'm just saying it doesn't make you an angel if you don't swear either. It's okay if you don't swear, just don't judge those who do. What? Healthcare volunteers can't have tattoos? It's just another way of expression.

Society says it's uncouth. Society is also the reason to why you die from pent up stress. It's okay to scold 'fuck' when you're with your closest friends cause you've got a really bad day. Trust me when the moment the word 'fuck' comes out, it's fucking therapeutic.

If your vocabulary is limited, try stringing fuck(s) together with your broken English. It works wonders however way you'd link it. The most versatile word on the planet.

Hahaha but I'm also not telling you to scold little children on the streets uh. Then that one you fucked up already. Lol. Just be open about it. Sometimes it's not as harsh as it sounds, really.

But I do have a secret though.. I know I swear a lot usually but I NEVER SWEAR when I'm angry or emotional. I believe that swearing in an argument only happens when you are lost for words and when you just want to have the last laugh. Ego. That to me just make things worse when both parties are heated and you actually already lost handsdown defeated. So yeah that's my take on vulgarities. It's just a personal thing uh.

I don't know how to end off this post but I guess that's more about me if you'd like to know and oh thank you guys once more for your love and support:

It's not a lot for 10 months but it doesn't have to be. I don't really care who reads, just thank YOU for reading.
Ps: I bet half the numbers come from my mother HAHA she's super supportive.

My First YOLO Trip

SINGAPORE - BANGKOK

So.. I did the most YOLO thing which was to book flights the night before and flew off the very next morning. HAHA

* I've got a disclaimer to make to the 10 of you who texted me and asked me if this was my solo trip or who I'm traveling with etc..

** No, I'm not traveling alone but it's inconvenient to name out his/her name so I'm just gonna call my travel partner, TP.

Day 1 - 14th October 2014

Thank you mummy for sending me to the airport :) I love you and am missing you while I'm typing this now.

TP and I will be in BKK for 5 days 4 nights and it's been pretty fun so far. Hehe

Sian got photobomb by some stranger. Confirm Thai boy. LOL

I flew by Thai Airways because I really can't stand budget airlines and full flights serve fairly decent food and (did you know?) unlimited alcohol if you ask for it uh!

Plus you have entertainment on board. I was watching I Am Number 4 and Alex Pettyfer is still as hot as I remembered him to be. HEH

Cotton candy in the sky

Another Thai boy photobomb me. SIAN. SAWATDEEKAH ERRBODY. Suvarnabhumi international airport babeh~

I just had to crop out that rude photobomber hahaha.

OMG I THINK I CHOSE THE BEST HOTEL EVER. Fantastic service and the rooms are beautiful.

Expedia fucked us up because they caused the miscommuniation between us and the hotel.

Our original room:

Which I think was actually not too bad but it's not what I paid for. So I called the reception and asked for the change of rooms.

Then yada yada yada cannot change blablabla expedia's fault bleh. But the front desk staff was super nice to offer us A FREE UPGRADE + BREAKFAST INCLUDED.

Swee la our room now:

Rainfall shower

The bathtub we fought for hehe

Act one artsy fartsy

My bui bui tummy haha

Then I worked a little (yes even on a trip) before we went gai gai

Pat Pong Night Market (nearest bts Sala Daeng)

Dinner was at this restaurant I ate 3 years back. My TP said it was a really goood recommendation. Yay

Serves the best representation of what Pad Thai should taste like

Tom Yum Goong? One word: Shiok

Tom Yum Fried Rice was super appetizing *nomnomnom*

We wanted to pamper ourselves and this parlour seemed the least dodgy to us

Cannot wait lehhh come and gimme my foot massage thanks

I fell asleep after they made the chair like a bed. She was so good I gave her a tip. SGD$10 for an hour foot massage I think it's pretty worth it.

So the night was pretty okay until we decided to really YOLO and watch the legendary Ping Pong Show. I really don't know if I regretted my decision or not. But I have to admit it was a once in a lifetime thing and I'll never ever ever ever do it again, ever. Ever.

- no pictures allowed-

IT WAS SUCH A SCAM. Google was right afterall. They said there was no entrance fee and all you needed to do was pay for your drinks. We ordered 2 Singha beers at THB100 = SGD4 each and my dear TP being such a nice person treated 2 of the cons Coke.

Supposed total bill: SGD$16 right?
But no, when the bill came it was: SGD$72. YES SEVENTY TWO FUCKING DOLLARS.

We argued that we got cheated but the tranny was being so fierce it ended up heated and THEY SPLASHED WATER AT ME (WHATTHEFUCK) EVEN AFTER WE PAID cause we told the angmohs beside us that it was a scam.

I was feeling so sore and angst that we got scammed but I told myself okay fine here's how the money should have been spent so that I can make myself feel better:

4 shows: Pussy Smoking, Pussy Ping Pong, Pussy Rainbow and Pussy Shooting Darts

So if in Singapore 1 movie would have cost us $8 so 4 movies = $32 per person x 2 pax = $64

Remaining $72 - $64 = $8
$8 / 4 drinks = $2 per drink

OKAY FINE I FEEL BETTER ALREADY :'(

And cause I've got splashed water by that bitch, I needed to have a therapeutic bath haha:

I know it looks like I'm narcissistic and took lots of photos of myself but I actually took many photos of my TP. Just cannot upload only..

Day 2 - 15th October 2014

Terminal 21 (nearest bts Asok)

If I have to work in a mall I'll choose to work here simply because the uniforms are too cool la omg. The counter staff girls are in air-stewardess uniforms uh.

Missed your flight?

Ate at their version of Thai Express, but not restaurant style, more like food court style:

Pad Thai (again, all day err day) HAHA

Garlic Stir Fried Pork yummeh

Tom Yum Goong non spicy I likey

I had to have my bubble tea fix

Proof that I didn't edit my photos at all

San Francisco themed

Every level is a different country theme and that says a lot about their toilets too:

Nautical themed toilet for Boston level I think

And of course they have the London/UK theme

I cannot wait to see the real mustache men in real life

Their escalators are so cool. If you're going upwards, it says 'Arrival Hall -specifies country-'. Vice versa if you're going downwards, it says 'Departure Hall -specifies country-'.

My face so cock. HAHAHAHA

My favourite level, JAPAN. Konichiwa

Basement was selling crepes. Reminded me of Harajuku so badly :'(

Paris duh

Tao Kae Noi Heaven

Asiatique Riverside Mall (nearest bts Saphan Taksin, then take the shuffle boat from Sathorn Pier)

Pretty but so dark and I lazy to edit uh

Seasick like power only

THE AIRCONDITIONED CHATUCHAK

So so sooo clean, even their toilets are airconditioned

If only you can see the little lamps hanging on the trees. So magical

So romantic the backdrop *spams*

Randomly chanced upon Bocha Icecream stall, really really really yummy

- We went for the 4D-max ride, forgot to take pictures -

It's time for massage again guys. This time head, neck and shoulders for $16 per pax:

FUCKING PAINFUL, CAN FIGHT WITH THE MASSAGE I HAD IN BALI. TMD I FELT LIKE I WENT FOR WAR.. Gave tips also damn not shiok uh please

Starting still happy happy pose pose..

I'm amazed I still have hair left on my head..

4 words: SMLJ

This shop is sooo cute hahaha

Chang beer mascot? HAHA

Dinner at one of the many tze char stalls:

Sweet and Sour Chicken

Fried Eggs with Prawns

Tom Yum Goong FTW

Balek Kampong. We went back to the hotel, I did somemore work and had an early night rest.

Day 3 - 16th October 2014

FINALLY WE MANAGED TO WAKE UP FOR BREAKFAST WTF WE REALLY DAMN PIG I CANNOT EVEN. BUT WAH THE AMBIENCE REALLY UP THERE:

Like Singapore's cafe hopping style right?

We went for an afternoon swim and let me show you guys around my hotel:

Borisud Pure Spa

MFitness

Pool bar and hot angmoh's butt

I'm wearing the monokini that I just bought from Asiatique last night:

Showered and went gai gai afterwards

Siam Paragon (nearest bts Siam)

Mandatory tourist shots

I thought this was pretty awesome as I was walking and eating my Krispy Kreme. HAHA

Siam Square (nearest bts Siam)

My favourite streets of shops, alleys after alleys, turns after turns, baht after baht LOL

OH OH OH MY FAVOURITE THAI RESTAURANT EVEN AFTER 3 YEARS I ALWAYS GO BACK. Whoever I bring there, will always walk out saying the food is THE BEST:

Love the ambience

Look here. Day light now. Our round 1 of Ban Khun Mae.

Tested and proven. The best mango sticky rice. I'm running out of adjectives here. *4 thumbs up*

Pineapple Fried Rice *3 thumbs up*

Pad Thai *3 thumbs up*

Tom Yum Goong *4 thumbs up*

That's our round 1 for now

Then we went gai gai and I did gel manicure. VIP SIOL

Less than SGD$20 for gel manicure bodoh

AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT I DO EVERYDAY. MASSAGE MASSAGE AND MASSAGE ONLY.

CHANG'S FOOT MASSAGE. GUESS WHO I SAW? LEE TENG HAHAHAHA CHANNEL U THAT HOST Y'KNOW? Although he not really famous la but still seeing a familiar face. Hahaha.

Aroma Therapy massage. I mean obviously cannot fight with the one I had in Krabi but it's like 1/5 of the price. Worth it uh. IT WAS SO GOOD I GAVE TIPS ALSO FEELING SHIOK HEHE

Round 2 of Ban Khun Mae:

Night time and we weren't really hungry

Feeling so refreshed after the massage and yay best dessert ever:

ORGASSS HAHA

We slowly made our way back to our hotel and my TP was helping me with my workload (cause I work a little every night). So so so thankful for my TP. Lots of love babe <3

Ps: TP and I are super duper uper cute. We have a mini fashion runway every night in our hotel room with what we bought that day. HAHA

But here's a mini sneak peak of my favourite buy so far!

PSS: I'M SO EXCITED TO MEET OTHER FRIENDS TOMRROW AT MBK, BUT FIRST YUEN GAH WAI NEEDS TO STOP ASKING ME TO LEAVE MY HOTEL FOR SUPPER WITH HIM SO THAT MY TP AND I CAN SLEEP NOW AND WAKE UP IN TIME FOR BREAKFAST. HAHAHA BUT REALLY HUNGRY UH

Day 4 - 17th October 2014

YAY WE MADE IT FOR BREAKFAST AGAIN

MBK (nearest bts National Stadium)

We went to MBK to meet Gah Wai and his friends and OMG, they were so much fun.

Jocelyn kept saying this was damn good but we didn't try in the end. However, we had one of the yummiest Beef Ball Noodle Soup:

This looks like nothing but my friends, this is da bomb. The guys also agreed that this was yummeh.

Gah Wai, Julian and Jian Rong in BKK:

Today I can safely say when guys bitch, they bitch better than girls and they really don't give chance at all. TSK

As you all know, massage for me is an all day errday thing. So we went for clean massage after (must specify HAHAHAHA). I did Aroma Therapy massage again cause it's that good. The weather was sooo hot they just kept asking, 'which one can bathe, which one can bathe?' LOL.

My primary school friend. Hahaha we really went a long way but nothing bonded us more than today.

And since it's just across the street, Ban Khun Mae round 3. The guys loooved it so much. AIYAH I'm an awesome tour guide what can I say. *flips hair* We wanted to try Sontum but ohwell..

Platinum Mall (nearest bts Siam or Chit Lom)

My TP and I went to Platinum Mall after seperating from the boys and I didn't know it closes at like what, 8pm? It says 10pm online, but I should have known since I've been there thrice already..

We took a Tuk-tuk there cause google maps told us it would be a 16mins walk. Siao uh please. But the jam even more cray. 15 mins just stationary is no joke serious.

Even though I have a driving license, I don't think I'll ever have the balls (guts cause I'm a lady haha) to drive in BKK. I know I quite YOLO but this is a whole new level of committing suicide.

Of all my shopping trips, I bought the most and paid the least here. LITERALLY GRAB AND GO IN A MINUTE FOR ALL SHOPS HAHA.

It's a pity that within 45mins all the shops started closing already. I'm just gonna camp here during my next BKK trip. Wasted :(

This angle not fat also look fat la HAHA. Anyway, the Thais use the river as a form of transport too. I'm actually in love with their BTS and MRT. Cheap and efficient.

We made our way back to the hotel to explore The Roof@38th Bar:

Breathtaking view

Soi mak mak

Following photos were really dark, I tried using vscocam to edit but look at how cui the quality is. Anybody knows how to save this special moment for me?

I wish I can salvage the photos I've taken on the rooftop. Somebody teach me how to pretty please?

The place where we eat our international breakfast is also a bar at night:

Then suddenly the boys messaged me and asked if I wanted to club. I've never been to a Siam Diu before and it was our last night.. AIYAH WANT YOLO JUST YOLO ALL THE WAY ONLY.

Club Insanity Bangkok (Sukhumvit area)

We cabbed down in slippers and shorts with no IC but apparently got money you considered damn big already la. HAHA I HAD SOOO MUCH FUN OMG.

Took a lot of pictures with my TP but I'll have to exclude them for now:

Siam Bu

I'm glad you jio me la bro, you best.

Midnight cab is just SGD$4. WTF. Anyway I took care of my TP the whole night, we vomited like cray cray and woke up with a massive terrible (spam adjectives for tokgong jialat) hangover.

Day 5 - 18th October 2014

OMG I FEEL LIKE CRAP.

We missed breakfast, checked out at 12pm, left our luggage at the concierge and rushed to Chatuchak.

Chatuchak (nearest bts Mo Chit)

I was so hungry I just bought something to munch first. It tasted great until I saw a long strand of hair in my waffles. YUCK.

We walked down the streets aimlessly. I tell you, I'm usually very good with directions and it's not my first time here but I WAS FEELING SO LOST. We were lost. Both of us were having a really bad hangover and we just wanted to puke and/or sleep.

I ate at this fat chef's place last year. Let's just say the food still tasted pretty damn good.

Om nom nom nom

Okay cooled down, time to brave the war again..

I couldn't find the exact stall I fell in love with but we just made do with this:

It was okay, but sorry it looks so botak. HAHA. When you're having a bad hangover, the last thing you need is the fucked up weather and exotic food combined.

I think I survived all thanks to TP's 风油. I spammed like no tomorrow. It was hotter than I remembered and so fucking stuffy and claustro. I JUST WANTED TO GET OUT, BATHE AND SLEEP.

With a dream catcher THIS size, I'm sure you won't have nightmares for at least 10 years. LOL

The weather really I cannot tank. My entire back was dripping with perspiration, my nose bled and I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm amazed I actually look human in pictures.

Love the colourssss. This shop got aircon uh. Shiok. Okay here's the shocker: THIS ENTIRE TRIP, I DIDN'T BUY MORE THAN 10 THINGS. I KNOW RIGHT. But it's okay, I've enjoyed sooo many massages in the past few days. It was a good trip.

Hopped onto a Tuk-tuk and rushed back to our hotel. WE WERE SO LATE WTF. The moment I reached the hotel, we jumped into a taxi with our luggage and fuck, traffic jam. CONFIRM LATE THIS TIME OMG.

WE MADE IT. WE DIDN'T MISS OUR FLIGHT. OMG HEART ATTACK I TELL YOU. But the scariest was almost missing my flight from Bali. Right, Jocelyn and Jdy? HAHA BY SECONDS.

Yayyy, boarding plane in a bit x
Ps: still in chatuchak's drenched clothes and tuk-tuk knotted hair. I look like a complete utter mess.

Cause Sarah Always Gets The Window Seat. Always.

I cried at the last part of Wreck-It Ralph. Yeah judge all you want uh wahlao. It's very touching what, no?
Oh, loved the food on board this time. Yummeh

Anddd.. I'm home. I'm glad to be back. I love Singapore *sings national anthem, chants pledge and waves flag* HAHA.

Overall, I had a really really wonderful trip. The biggest thank you to my TP for taking care of me, making sure my safety is priority and for this memorable holiday. Love you babe <3
